About

Fundamental to Eagleton’s work are both monolithic shapes and organic human contours as they relate to one another. The forms he favors are often sensual and grounding, and thus project their presence within a space, as though somehow conscious.

Observers are encouraged to experiment with the arrangement of the pieces and their interaction with light and shadow throughout the day.

His process involves weeks of building and shaping the material by hand until he arrives at a pleasing form. He then adds layers of additional material, sands the surface and repeats until it is adequately smoothed. Then finally, coats upon coats of paint are applied in order to achieve a sleek and modern finish.

Dimensions range from small pods that fit in one hand to upright monoliths three feet tall, large spheres and ovoid forms in clay, glass, stone and bronze.
